“Caritas Christi urget nos” (Love of Christ impels us) was the motto of the Episcopal Coat of Arms selected by the Priest and Founder Anthony Claret when he was appointed as the Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba. The present study is an attempt to highlight the Christ-centeredness in the apostolic spirituality of St. Anthony Mary Claret (1807-1870). As an apostolic missionary and missionary archbishop he worked for Jesus Christ and the later stages of his missionary apostolic life were characterized more also by his suffering for Christ. The reader gets also a glimpse into the main events of the life of St. Claret as the theme of Christ-centeredness is focused on. This study will help to understand more the apostolic heart of St. Anthony Mary Claret vibrating for Jesus Christ for whom he worked and suffered throughout his life.
