Prayer is much more than a mere exercise. It is a presence in, to and for God and an experience of being loved by him. As such, it is a foretaste of heaven. Prayer is being alone with the Alone for prayer begins and ends with God. He must always have the first and the last word as well. We need to discover the joy of prayer and learn the art of moving from a life of prayer to the prayer of life.
