Thy Will Be Done

Through meditation on the Sacred heart of Jesus and of the Immaculate Heart of Mary we learn of the sufferings these two sinless and pure hearts, symbolizing love, endured to do the father’s will, and we also obtain the strength and courage in our suffering. Adam and Eve sought the pleasure of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Jesus and Mary sought the pleasure of doing the Father’s will at Calvery. They taught us this is from sufferings come blessings, and from the greatest sufferings come the greatest spirtual rewards. Therefore, we ought to realize that complaining will not make suffering disappear but only make it more difficult to bear. Thus, we are called to be one in the hearts of Jesus and Mary to say always to the father. “Thy will be done”, so that in the difficult moments we may not despair nor become despondent but with great confidence trust in the Father’s love for us and submit to his holy will as Jesus and Mary did. For we are called to look on Him whom they have pierced to find the Father’s love encompassed in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
